Welcome to my Arts portfolio!
Visual Art
It is all about the process, not the final product; however, final products are most of the time astonished!

Let's Chase Animals!
Children would engage with natural and man-made materials to visualise animal's track, make up a story and then turn them into a piece of art
Materials/Tools
-
Plain home-made playdough
-
Wooden discs of Australian animal’s track
-
Roller spin
-
Wooden breadboard
-
Australian animals’ toys
-
Gumtree leaves

Wood, leaves and non-chemical playdough provide opportunities for children to touch nature while creating their piece of art. They also touch and play with toy animals, and they might make their footprints on the playdough too. They can feel and see natural materials and manmade materials while playing creating animal tracks.

Resources

Relaxing Music (click here to listen)
-
Photos of real animals' tracks (click here to access the website)
I would play music for children since listening to music would increase children's creativity, as Dinham (2017:11) points out, listening to music 'transports children to another world of experience'.
I would also show them the real animal's footprint on desserts on iPad and invite them to talk about the differences and similarities of real tracks and playdough tracks..
